Jaylen Brown surges up the NBA MVP power rankings with a statement stretch, while Luka Dončić slips slightly as the race tightens league-wide.

Luka Dončić and the Lakers pulled off another clutch victory Tuesday night, beating the Pelicans 111-103 in New Orleans. Dončić had another big game for Los Angeles, finishing with 30 points. LeBron James also chipped in with 30 points as the Lakers improved to 23-11 with the road win.

Earlier on Monday, Lakers coach JJ Redick said Dončić was considered day-to-day with the injury, but he was ruled out later that day. Dončić missed the second half of Saturday’s game after he was “hobbling” at the end of the first half, Redick said.

Luka Dončić is a player who plays with a lot of emotion. Some of his most iconic moments are based around either yelling at opposing fans or even opposing players after absolutely electric plays. With the shot clock winding down and not much hope for a good shot, a Pelicans fan thought this was the perfect opportunity to speak up.

Luka Dončić is expected to play tonight for the Lakers against the Pelicans, entering the game as the league's leading scorer. Despite several Lakers' injuries, Dončić and LeBron James will carry the offensive load.
