Season 5 of “Stranger Things” joined Netflix’s list of its most popular English-language TV titles of all time immediately after becoming eligible with the release of the series finale on New Year’s Eve.

Until the Stranger Things spinoff and animated series come to Netflix, fans can still enjoy the universe with the Stranger Things: The First Shadow play. The stage show — which was written by Kate Refry from an original story by the Duffer Brothers and Jack Thorne — has been running on Broadway since April 2025.

It made the whole crossover feel pretty hollow, especially since the WWE likes to make a point of highlighting celebrities who show up to their shows. Hell, they've had plenty of celebrities host Raw over the decades, but none of that was on the table for this episode. At the very least, couldn't they have sent a pre-recorded message?
