There are five NBA games scheduled for Christmas Day, continuing one of the league’s longest-running traditions.

From Peacock headliners to late night finishes, Monday’s NBA schedule on Dec. 29 delivers star power, playoff contenders and a full night of basketball.

There are few more delightful American traditions than the NBA's marquee Christmas Day slate. With no due respect to the brazen, oversaturated NFL — which has an abysmal Christmas schedule — the 25th of December will always belong to the Association and its biggest stars and best teams. It's just that much more special.

Three games are first-time matchups for Dec. 25: the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. the New York Knicks (12 p.m. ET), with the Knicks extending their record for most games played on Christmas Day to 58; the Dallas Mavericks vs. the Golden State Warriors (5 p.m. ET); and the Minnesota Timberwolves vs. the Denver Nuggets (10:30 p.m. ET).

The Spurs surge past the Thunder in a rivalry rematch to key a 14-game slate marked with thrills and other showdowns.
