DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — In DeKalb County, parents believe the 15 minutes of recess their children are getting is not enough. More than 2,200 people signed a petition pushing the district for more time.
You can get a lot done in 15 minutes: Make a quick lunch, fold a load of laundry, take a shower. But is it enough time for a 6-year-old to play outside during recess? Parents in metro Atlanta say no.
